CODEPINK and other peace orgs — a whopping 12 — are gearing up for Sept. 20, the day of our Million Doors for Peace campaign! We’re recruiting thousands of people to knock on one million of their neighbors’ doors and ask them to sign a pledge to bringing the troops home within one year.  Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor of The Nation magazine, wrote this great piece on the campaign here:

At this moment, when the mainstream media has largely abandoned coverage of the Iraq War and the majority antiwar opinion, the presidential campaign is underwhelming in offering any vision of peace, and the antiwar movement clearly needs to redouble its efforts, an exciting mobilization is reenergizing the peace movement–the Million Doors for Peace campaign.
