I appreciate being on your email list. I usually tend to agree. However, if you didn't see 60 Minutes on tv the other night... it was all about how important it is for us (and the world) NOT to allow Pakistan to fall into the wrong hands because of the nuclear weapons that would be at stake, thus US and the world in harm's way. I believe Obama and his administration are thinking through the entire process very carefully and wisely and they will do what they need to do to keep the world safe. Please don't stop pounding Obama already. He's only been in office a month today and you're already being negative and critical. You certainly can't have the entire picture at hand when it comes to safety and wisdom and circumstances involved. I love that you're a peace group but how about giving Obama some peace and quiet and let him do what he needs to do as President and World Leader. Give him a break, please. Learn all the facts before you try to raise another ruckus.

"It is much saner than the men’s car and we get the wisdom of the separation."

Yes, gender apartheid is a very sane policy. I'm so glad that Iranian society protects women by limiting their rights and separating them from the fray of normal society. If only American society were so sane, we women wouldn't have to dirty ourselves in what really should be a man's world.

I so appreciate the courage and liveliness you are showing on this trip. You're filling your days with wonderful contacts with Iranians so by the time you come back I know you'll have great insights about how we will proceed. More pictures and blogs please. I hope Ann is over her flu.

Hi Jodie, Medea and Ann,

I am writing from within Iran. I stumbled upon your weblog by chance, I hope that you are able to show your fellow American's that we are just people who just like them want to live our lives free and without foreign interference. We know we have problems to solve within our country, but we want to do it ourselves.

So President elect Obama should start seeing the reality of Iran rather than relying on misconceptions.

History has proven that American politicians tend to forget their promises easliy, although I dobt anything will change with Obama, I I pray to god to help Obama fulfill his promises.

Thanks for your great entries and keep up the good work.

Thanks, Jodie, Medea and Ann, for your stamina, courage and openness. I'm sure the subway riders won't forget your faces and smiles! Just knowing you are there, and Rae and Ariel will soon be there with their interfaith group, makes me more hopeful for peace between the US and Iran. Eat/drink some pomegranate product -- good for the heart!
