Nancy, what will you do now that you know?
In the wake of the torture memo bombshell and a finger pointing extravaganza on Capitol Hill, Nancy Pelosi stated today that Congress was never briefed on the use of waterboarding. That statement seems to beg the question- what would they have done had they known? Considering the poor track record on issues of accountability- one can only imagine. But the more important question is ‘Nancy, what will you do now?’ Standing for the stability of the US’s reputation in the eyes of the international community. Stand for an indenpendent prosecutor and a proper investigation (meaning $$ to fund it). If there is money for Wall St. bonuses there has to be money for this.
