Instead, states are drastically cutting education budgets that were already inadequate. Lots of money is still being spent to send military recruiters into public schools, too. A real leader would send his own children to the public schools where the family lives. If the schools weren't up to standards, a real leader would actually spend the funds to improve them. A real leader would also say something at this point like: Until all Americans have health care, I'm not going to accept my government funded care. I'll pay for it out of my own pocket until we have health care with everybody in, nobody out. Obama also promised to improve public education.
