Join CODEPINK for two exciting events and actions this week!
What's Next? Gathering to Discuss Next Steps After Overnight Peace Vigil at the NRA
When: Wednesday, June 29 @ 6pm
Where: CODEPINK Office | 1241 Evarts Street NE, Washington D.C. 20018
After a powerful overnight vigil at the NRA Headquarters Monday June 20-Tuesday June 21, we must continue to pressure the NRA and Congress to pass sensible gun safety regulation to end the epidemic of gun violence in the US. But in the wake of the Senate's failure to pass 4 pieces of gun reform legislation, and with the historic sit-in in the House, what's next?
CODEPINK, some of the powerful speakers from the overnight vigil, members of the 27 sponsoring organizations, and some of the hundreds of individuals who joined us for the action will gather to discuss where to go from here. Join us for a potluck at the CODEPINK office in D.C. to continue the fight for sensible gun legislation!
For more information and to RSVP, visit the CODEPINK event page. With any questions, comments, or concerns contact Rebecca Green at [email protected].
Flash Mob Dance to Honor Pulse Victims
When: Thursday June 30 | 10:00am-11:00am
Where: U.S. Capitol| 1 1st St SE, Washington DC
WERK for Peace, in collaboration with CODEPINK, calls on YOU to come out and shake your money maker for peace - in front of the US Capitol. In honor and memory of the victims at Pulse Nightclub, we demand that our government changes gun laws (paid for by the NRA) and ends homophobic policies that contribute to the oppression of LGBTQAI+ individuals.
Please come at 10 am. Flash Mob will happen shortly after, and if you'd like, you can join WERK for Peace and the CODEPINK team to dance in the streets afterwards. Find more information on the Facebook event page, and email [email protected] with any questions!
WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT. AND BRING YOUR SIGNS. Its time to tell Congress, enough is enough. So come one, come all, and dance for peace. We assert: We Are Here, and We Will Dance! All dance forms welcome. All bodies welcome. All genders and sexualities welcome.
In Solidarity,
