Nov 10-12. Washington, DC. Three days of peaceful resistance. Be there.
A taxpayer uprising is coming to Washington, DC, and we need you to be part of it! Join the CODEPINK contingent for three days of nonviolent action as we take a stand and demand:
NO MORE of our Money to Wars and Militarism!
-
End the catastrophic war in Iran—and ALL wars. We want to live in peace.
-
End US complicity in Israeli crimes. No more money for Israel. No integration of the US and Israeli militaries.
-
Slash the gargantuan military budget—over $1 trillion—and instead invest in Medicare For All, affordable housing, green energy and a sustainable future.
We are sick and tired of a system that bombs schools instead of building them, that funds warfare instead of healthcare, that imprisons and deports our neighbors instead of strengthening our communities, that plunders the earth instead of nurturing this beautiful but wounded planet.
We say ENOUGH! Those who are supposed to be our leaders have led us to a dead end. We demand a radically different path. What will we be doing? Marching peacefully through the halls of Congress, visiting congressional offices and making our outrage impossible to ignore.
We will demand an end to manufacturing enemies—from Iran to China—to justify endless military spending. An end to the plundering of other nations' resources, as we are doing in Venezuela. An end to brutal sanctions against Cuba. It's time to stop trying to dominate the world and learn to live in peace with it.
This taxpayer uprising comes at a critical moment—after the elections but before the new Congress is sworn in. It's our chance to set the agenda for the incoming Congress and put politicians of both parties on notice: We demand that they turn this war-making, greed-driven, ecocidal ship around. We will tell our so-called leaders to stop representing the billionaire class, the weapons industry, Big Oil, the AI tech giants and foreign governments—and start representing US, THE PEOPLE! Our tax dollars should nourish life, not finance death. Our government should serve the people, not the profiteers of war. And our planet should be a home for future generations, not a sacrifice zone for corporate greed.
