Palestine/SWANA Campaign Lead

Description

CODEPINK is seeking a passionate and energetic Campaign Lead to facilitate our work on Palestine and the SWANA (Southwest Asia and North Africa) region. We are looking for a leader with strong organizational skills, initiative and creativity to lead awareness raising, congressional work and advocacy activities, promote people-to-people ties, while networking with local activists, Middle East activists/organizations in the US and in Palestine and the rest of SWANA.

Application Deadline: May 30, 2025 

Location: Based anywhere in the United States, with ability to work remotely. Must have a working computer and reliable Internet access.

Position type: Full-time permanent, 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Start date: Anytime between July 1 and August 1, 2025 depending on your availability 

Salary: $54,000 - $56,00 annually based on experience

    A sample campaign e-blast, sample petition, social media post for Instagram and Twitter, and an outreach flyer. You can pick a topic from our BoughtByZiionism campaign, or a BDS related campaign.

  • Please include 3 references including one from a past supervisor.

Specific Duties:

  • Work with the CODEPINK team, coalition groups and advisors to conceptualize, design and lead campaigns
  • Expand our outreach and education via
    • Petitions, congressional actions, events, webinars, teach-ins etc.
    • Weekly email alerts to supporters
    • Writing articles, OpEds, press releases, etc
    • Writing scripts for social media/videos
    • Media interviews
  • Manage our Palestine/SWANA webpages and BoughtByZionism website and related campaigns
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individuals/organizations working on similar issues
  • Represent CODEPINK at events and within coalitions, and to the media

Must Have the Following Qualifications:

Campaign Organizing Expertise

  • Excellent knowledge regarding the occupation of Palestine and the history of US policy towards Israel and the rest of SWANA region, ​​and the movement for Palestinian liberation
  • 3+ years proven experience strategizing, organizing, training, and working in coalition, and both online and in-person organizing, with a demonstrated understanding of how to drive people to take action through online and in-person engagement
  • Collaborative team player with excellent project management skills

Technical & Communication

  • Creative thinker and strategist, media savvy, with an eye for designing and presenting engaging online content 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience creating content for e-blasts, petitions, blogs, flyers and educational material 
  • Solid computer skills; experience with email programs like mailchimp, updating web pages like wordpress/NationBuilder/ActionNetwork, basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva, managing Zoom webinars and calls, and social media channels.
  • Must have a working computer and a reliable internet connection, with the ability to work remotely (sometimes in person work is required). 

Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and self-organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details, work independently, and follow through with a minimum of direct supervision
  • Able to work outside of business hours when necessary for rapid response and special events
